2015… what a year! Two words describe it… ENORMOUS GROWTH! Not only did we continue to grow the Realty World franchise network in Northern California, but we launched the NextHome brand in January and ended 2015 with 70 NextHome franchise locations across 25 states. Yes… we’re all very tired!

2016 Personal Goals:  Building a new company from the ground up is arguably one of the toughest things to do. You sacrifice most of your personal life to get things moving. It’s defined by stress, extremely long hours and helping wherever you’re needed. Now that we’re becoming a well oiled machine, my personal goal in 2016 is re-balance my time with friends, family, and most importantly – my wife.
2016 Professional Goals: As any company grows, it’s easy to lose the culture and personal touch you have with your clients early on. Responsibilities increase, staffing increases, the pressure of performing increases. Companies fail when they lose that personal touch, service, and culture that helped them grow to begin with. My professional goal in 2016 is to focus on ways to keep and grow that culture, service level, and personal touch that attracts people to our organization and makes them part of our family. It will be exciting to watch NextHome expand into all 50 states by the end 2016, but also add to the amazing culture we’ve already built with our members.

With this new year, I am looking to reduce stress, get more quality sleep, become more active and spend more time with family, friends and my beloved wife. There are just too many things in life to see and do.

“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.”
Melody Beattie
Don’t make resolutions.  Set goals.  Write them down.  Look at them often.  And then get started!!  Also the one thing I think people miss some times is make them fun. When you think about your next year… its should make you smile. Big.
I am excited to continue to grow and develop personally and professionally.  My goal for this year is to do a series of 30 day (one month) challenges.  Everything from a month with no alcohol, drive my “fun car” every day or to write a book in a month.  I am still crafting my challenges so if you have any great ideas for me just let me know!

charis_morenoCharis Moreno – Vice President of Sales

I believe you cannot set new goals/resolutions without reflecting on last years goals/resolutions first…

When 2014 was ending and we were heading into 2015 I, like millions of Americans, made some resolutions with every intention of achieving them!  Well folks I am officially among the 92% of Americans that do not successfully achieve their New Year’s resolutions.  On a positive note I made 6 and achieved 4 so I don’t feel like a total failure!  Running the marathons and half marathons did not happen thanks to my years of road running, but I did mountain bike over 684 miles which is equivalent to 25 marathons so I would call that a success.  While my family does not always abide by the tech free zones I did get my 6 year old from over 10 hours a week on the ipad to under 2 and, that my friends, is literally a miracle! I presented to over 60 parents the importance of knowing the dangers of providing our children access to the tablets and smart phones and the risks we expose them to if we do not set boundaries, settings, and talk to them about online vs. offline worlds.  My most greatest and proudest achievement is the growth of this amazing new brand we introduced to the market and welcoming over 70 new offices into our NextHome family and becoming the fastest growing franchise in the US.  I am grateful beyond measure and it is a true honor to have met so many amazing people along the way that have the same love, dedication and passion about our industry and to do it with a talented team that I am lucky to be a part of!

Now looking ahead to 2016 my personal goals will continue to be to:

  1. make sure I keep my family and my faith my first priority
  2. ensure enough exercise to maintain my health and sanity
  3. continue to stay involved in the school to ensure the safety of our children by educating parents about online safety

As for my professional goals:

  1. Make sure that NextHome remains the fastest growing franchise in the U.S. and putting 100 or more franchises on the already amazing map we have for year one
  2. Absolutely focusing on the details to better myself professionally and personally

This year has been incredible! One of growth, change and new adventures. Closing out 2015 I am incredibly grateful for our amazing team members and the growing NextHome, and Realty World NCA families. The people in our lives, companies and communities are what bring success and joy to our everyday.

The New Year is always an opportunity. I reflect on the passing year, feeling proud about what I have achieved and learn from how I have grown. I look forward to the new year with a mindset to focus on the future, change and challenges. I embrace this concept, and have learned that our achievements we seek in life are directly linked to our capacity, and our ability, to thrive outside of boundaries. “If it’s not challenging you, it is not changing you.” To me, every new year comes with an understanding and acceptance that change is a way of life.

Our company has big goals and exciting plans for 2016. I am excited everyday by our growing community, what we are all collectively creating together, and what we are planning to build in the new year. As the quote says, “life begins at the edge of our comfort zone,” and our team will continue to be a part of those who want to push our industry forward. Together we will create, we will innovate and we will execute on our vision for a fresh, modern and revitalized real estate industry.

For 2016, I’m looking forward to seeing NextHome expand across the nation. Our growth this past year has been incredible, and is only going to get better as we expand our offerings.

My New Year‘s Resolution in 2016 is to expand my skill-set (and protect my work area) by building an autonomous Nerf-gun turret.

This past year has been a full throttle ride of new adventures, and unfortunately, heart-breaking times for me. For 2016, I would like to take each day to enjoy the little things, travel and share joyous moments with my loving husband, and find balance in my life. Our NextHome family has grown beyond our expectations in it’s first year and I am excited to see where we go in 2016!

DianeDiane King – Marketing Coordinator

In the coming year, I’m most looking forward to contributing to the growing NextHome team. As a new addition to the company, I feel incredibly honored to have the opportunity to learn from and work alongside such a talented and passionate group of professionals. I expect 2016 to be an amazing year filled with new experiences, professional growth, and lots of fun!
My biggest goal for 2016 is to achieve a healthy work / life balance. I hope to continue to push myself to grow both personally and professionally while still taking time to appreciate and enjoy life.

To be completely honest I’ve hardly even thought about resolutions for 2016. I feel like it was just yesterday that I drafted my resolutions for 2015. It’s been such a whirlwind year I can’t believe it’s already over! In 2016 I’m looking forward to starting off the year on vacation with my husband. 🙂 I also look forward to spending more time with my family. I was reminded just last month with my dad’s health scare that it can all be gone in a blink of an eye. 2016 will also be the year of eating good food and drinking good wine. Gym memberships are so 2015.

2015 has by far been the best year of my life. My boyfriend and I moved into our new home together, I landed my first Backroll on a wakeboard, I bought my dream horse, and I made a drastic, exciting career change.

There are no words to describe the gratitude I possess for the opportunity to build a career surrounded by people that I value indefinitely both inside and out of the office. This year has taught me that there is such thing as loving your job, and it begins with loving the people you work with. Being a part of this team enhanced a part of my life I didn’t even realize I was missing. I love them for that! I can’t wait to see what this new year has in store for us. Together, we can get through anything.
I have a lot to be excited about in 2016 but I am particularly looking forward to spending a couple of weeks in Kauai this summer.

2015 has presented its self to be a very interesting year, especially right at the end. But I am thankful for everything I have persevered through and the lessons I have learned ‘the hard way’. My personal life needs a little self reflecting however, at this current moment, I am very excited about where I am professionally. I am so grateful and ecstatic to be apart of the NextHome family. I have not been here long but, everyone I have encountered on this journey so far has been extremely welcoming and nothing but helpful. I cannot wait to see where this opportunity I have received takes me. Joining this group of top innovative personnel, I feel that I will do nothing but prosper in every sense of the word.

I have a plethora of goals I plan to execute this year. My main goal I have for myself is to eliminate the things I have in my life that do not bring me complete happiness that can be disposed of, such as the excess clutter I constantly have in my Jeep. I plan on entering 2016 with nothing but optimism about everything and anything that will be coming my way, personally and professionally. I also plan on finishing up my studies at Arizona State, online. It has been a very long road and I am honored to say I am finally nearing the finish line.
