Pleasanton, CA— February 16, 2016 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Triangle Group. The brokerage represents the fourth NextHome franchise location in the state of North Carolina.

Owned and operated by business partners, Don Fuquay and Doyle Hardison, the Raleigh-based office will provide residential real estate services to the areas of Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, and the remainder of the Raleigh Metro area. The brokerage will also provide assistance to clients in acquiring and selling investment properties, luxury homes, farms, and agriculture properties.

A native of Willow Spring, (just south of Raleigh), Fuquay was a graduate of University of North Carolina – Wilmington. Right after graduation, Fuquay entered the banking industry. Over the course of 23 years in banking, Fuquay moved up the ranks, eventually reaching the title of Senior Vice President for a national bank. He was responsible for overseeing 750 employees and 21 regions for the company.

In 2002, Fuquay formed Don Fuquay & Associates, which focused on real estate investing and consulting. His timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

Just 12 months later, Fuquay saw an opportunity in the foreclosure market of modular and manufactured homes. Many of these properties were retained by the banks due to unpaid loans. Since the banks didn’t want to keep the properties, Don Fuquay & Associates created a real estate auction division within the company, which allowed banks to liquidate these homes quickly and efficiently.

In 2003, Don Fuquay & Associates sold over 1,100 modular and manufactured homes that had been previously foreclosed. In 2004, Fuquay entered real estate development and built and sold a subdivision of 95 lots just outside of Raleigh.

With his vast experience in banking, lending and real estate, Fuquay began exploring the idea of owning his own real estate brokerage. In early 2015, Fuquay attained his real estate license and began exploring real estate franchises. Even though Fuquay was eager to get started, he called on a college friend to help him with the new venture.

Doyle Hardison boasts a background of 28 years in the electric utility industry with a focus on marketing residential programs for builders and developers.

Hardison spent 18 years at Carolina Power & Light Company (now known as Duke Energy). With his help, it allowed builders to create homes that were energy efficient and attractive to new homebuyers.

In 2000, he moved to South River Electric Membership Corporation where he served as the Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service. Hardison was responsible for economic development and community revitalization in the central North Carolina market.

When the business partners decided to open their own brokerage, their research of real estate franchises led them to NextHome.

“NextHome was the company of choice for us to affiliate with,” said Fuquay. “The leadership team developed a clear vision for the direction of the franchise. NextHome is a company that is forward thinking with today’s consumer in mind. I didn’t find that in many of the other companies we looked at.”

“I was very impressed with the NextHome model right from the start,” added Hardison. “The tools allow us to provide huge value to our agents. When client expectations are exceeded, it’s because of agents who are better equipped to handle these expectations.”

“Don and Doyle bring a unique background of real estate and finance to NextHome,” said NextHome’s Vice President of Sales, Charis Moreno. “Their track record of success along with their commitment to educating their agents is a huge benefit to the Raleigh real estate community. We couldn’t be more proud to have them as owners of NextHome Triangle Group.”

Fuquay and his wife of 27 years, Lisa, have four children – daughter Macy (25 years old), twin daughters Abby and Courtney (24), and a son Harrison (13).

Hardison has two children – daughter Katie (29) and son William (25). Hardison is engaged to DaNell Butler.

Please join us in welcoming Don, Doyle, and the rest of the team at NextHome Triangle Group to the NextHome family!
