Pleasanton, CA— March 8, 2016 — NextHome is proud to announce our latest addition to the franchise, NextHome Utica Properties. The brokerage represents the 16th NextHome franchisee in the state of California.

Owned and operated by two top-producing REALTORS®, Jeff Rasmussen and Tammy Dillashaw, the Angels Camp-based brokerage will provide residential real estate services to the areas of Murphys, Arnold, San Andreas, Copperopolis, Vallecito, Douglas Flats, Avery, Valley Springs, Hathaway Pines, and the remainder of Calaveras County. The company will also provide services in land sales, ranch properties, commercial units, and investment properties.

The city of Angels Camp is a California Historical Landmark and is widely known to be the inspiration of Mark Twain’s short story, The Celebrated Jumping Frog Of Calaveras County. The city is also one of the most recognizable cities during the 1800’s California Gold Rush.

Successful in their own respective businesses, Rasmussen and Dillashaw each took different paths to their partnership.

Originally from a background of over a decade in insurance, Rasmussen entered real estate in 2002 with a local brokerage, Vintage Realty. Within his first two years, he reached the prestigious status of Circle of Excellence as one of the area’s top producing agents. Over the next 12 years, Rasmussen continued strong sales numbers, and in 2015, he exceeded an incredible $12,000,000 in sales volume.

Dillashaw comes from a background of over 20 years in real estate construction. She was part owner of a construction company that built custom homes. Dillashaw entered the real estate industry in 2008 as a REALTOR® at Vintage Realty and focused her attention on single-family residence and land sales. In 2015, she sold nearly $5,000,000 in volume.

Being an integral part of their local community is incredibly important to them, as well.

Rasmussen has served on the local school board as an elected Board of Trustee for the Bret Harte Union School District for the past eight years.

In 2015, Dillashaw served on the Board of Directors for the Calaveras County Association of REALTORS® and will serve as their Association President-Elect in 2017.

While both of them worked as colleagues for several years, when Vintage Realty converted from an independent brokerage to a Century 21 franchisee in March 2014, Rasmussen and Dillashaw began discussing a partnership.

“We knew that if we put our efforts together, we could accomplish much more than we were already doing,” said Rasmussen. “And with Tammy getting her broker’s license last September, we took the partnership and focused on creating our own brokerage.”

The partners found NextHome through a simple Google search as they began preparing for their new company.

“NextHome was a natural fit for what we needed at our new company,” said Dillashaw. “We originally thought to open an independent boutique brokerage, but after talking with (NextHome VP of Sales) Charis Moreno, we saw that joining the franchise had so many advantages that would allow us the freedom to continue building local relationships instead of testing technology products.”

“Tammy and Jeff are an incredible addition to the NextHome family,” said NextHome’s Vice President of Business Development, Imran Poladi. “Both of them are widely known as top agents in their area and their integration of the NextHome tools and systems will provide Calaveras County with a real estate brokerage unlike any other. We couldn’t be more proud to be affiliated with Jeff and Tammy.”

Rasmussen and his wife of 28 years and high-school sweetheart, Tracy, have two children – their son Everett (25 years old) and daughter Erika (20). In their downtime, the couple loves skiing and spending time with Everett’s one-year-old daughter, Elizabeth.

In September of this year, Dillashaw will marry her fiancée, Jim Glanzman. She has two sons – firefighter, Brandon (31) and construction engineer, Chad (28). When not working, she enjoys snowshoeing and playing with her dogs.

Please join us in welcoming Tammy, Jeff and the rest of the team at NextHome Utica Properties to the NextHome family!
