Pleasanton, CA— September 13, 2016 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Neighborhood Realty. The company will represent the 18th location in the state of Florida.
The brokerage will be owned and operated by 26-year real estate veteran, Warren Gagne. The Winter Springs-based brokerage will provide residential real estate services to the cities of Winter Springs, Oviedo, Casselberry, and the remainder of the greater Orlando area.
Beginning his career in 1990 as an appraiser, Gagne entered the real estate industry providing appraisal services to the Central Florida region. His business, Warren Gagne & Company, was well known for taking care of appraisals efficiently and affordably.
During his five years as an appraiser, Gagne was asked by several friends and family members to help them with pricing their home. While he offered the service to provide an overview of value, Gagne noticed his services we sought after by sellers who were ready to list their homes.
“I realized there was a need for an accurate market analysis of their homes,” recalls Gagne. “While other agents could give their opinion of value, the fact that I was an appraiser held more value to the seller. It made a lot of sense to convert my expertise to the sales side of real estate.”
In 1995, Gagne started with RE/MAX Town & Country and built his sales career quickly. In his 16 years as an agent, Gagne consistently ranked in the top 10% of his office. In addition to his impressive sales numbers, he was able to convert most of his business to being referral based.
In 2011, Gagne was offered the position of Sales Manager at the same brokerage. With his familiarity of the company and the great working relationship he had with the agents, Gagne accepted the promotion. Over the next five years, Gagne not only retained almost all of the agents, but grew the brokerage by 30% in both agent count and production.
“I loved being able to help agents achieve the best version of themselves,” said Gagne. “Watching people improve their life by being focused on building a solid business is incredibly rewarding for me.”
In early 2016, Gagne began entertaining the idea of opening his own brokerage. He just needed the right company to partner with.
“I spent quite of bit of time researching companies that would provide the services and technology I would want in my brokerage,” said Gagne. “NextHome provided all that I was looking for and more.”
Gagne says that NextHome Neighborhood Realty will provide local agents an opportunity to work at a very different kind of brokerage.
“If you are going to conceivably work eight hours a day, you might as well work at a place where you feel supported not only by the broker, but by the agents at the brokerage as well,” said Gagne. “When everyone is committed to lifting each other up, it creates a fun and productive environment.”
When not selling real estate, Gagne enjoys spending time with his wife of 29 years, Ann. The couple met when Gagne worked as a guide at Disney World. “She was on the ride where I was the tour guide,” said Gagne with a laugh. “The rest was history.”
They have two children Kirby (23 years old) and Tessa (18).
