Pleasanton, CA— February 14, 2017 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the NextHome franchise – NextHome Choice. This represents the 5th NextHome office location opened in the state of Colorado.
Based out of Granby, the brokerage will be owned and operated by real estate broker, Kristie DeLay.
NextHome Choice will serve the needs of residents in Granby, Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs, Fraser, Winter Park, and Tabernash. The brokerage will provide services such as residential real estate sales, investment properties, short sales, foreclosures, and land sales.
Founded in 1904, Granby is located 85 miles west of Denver and is home to approximately 2,000 residents.
DeLay first got her real estate license in 2009 after a successful career in advertising and marketing in the non-profit sector.
She began her career at a local independent brokerage and grew here business year-over-year to the point where she sold more than 20 transactions a year – a remarkable feat considering the relatively small population of the town of Granby.
After becoming the managing broker of Mountain Realty Group, DeLay found 2017 to be the right time for her to consider opening her own real estate brokerage.
Initially thinking she would open her brokerage as an unaffiliated company, she reconsidered franchising after seeing a NextHome advertisement in the national REALTOR® Magazine.
“The advertisement caught my eye and I went to NextHome.com to find out more about the company,” recalled DeLay. “I really loved everything about the brand. The clean look, the forward thinking technology platform, the single sign on format that had everything at my fingertips. All of it was exactly what I wanted my new brokerage to have as features for our agents.”
“After I spoke with (NextHome’s Vice President of Sales) Charis Moreno, I had her send me franchise materials,” added DeLay. “When my son, Ethan, saw the company mascot, he excitedly said he wanted me to be part of NextHome. He loved all the ways we could use Luke to brand.”
When not selling real estate, DeLay spends time with her two sons, Ethan (age 11) and William (16) and her husband of 19 years, Frank.
The DeLay family is very involved in sports. Both Kristie and Frank are into hockey – not only as spectators, but as players themselves. She also coaches high school volleyball and recreation league basketball.
