Pleasanton, CA— April 25, 2017 NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Cornerstone Realty. The new brokerage is the 25th NextHome franchise location in the state of Florida.

Based out of Niceville, NextHome Cornerstone Realty will be owned by business partners, Dana Topel and Tom Meisen. They will be joined on the leadership team by Dana’s husband, Eric Topel. Dana will be in charge as the broker of record, Tom will focus on the commercial division of the company, and Eric will handle the day-to-day operations.

The brokerage will support the cities of Niceville, Destin, Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Shalimar, Valparaiso and the remainder of Walton and Okaloosa Counties.

The company will provide sales services for residential, luxury, commercial, second homes, multi-family, investment properties, REO/foreclosure and first time home buyer opportunities. Their area is also home to many military veterans, which the team has incorporated deeply into their real estate service model.

This diverse leadership team combined has more than 50 years in the real estate industry. Tom was first licensed in 1979 and Dana received her license in 2002. The two worked together at their previous brokerage for several years and found working together to be a great benefit.

“It was at our previous company that we had a chance to work on a daily basis together,” said Dana. “I’ve always admired Tom’s hard work and think he’s an invaluable asset to our company.”

In 2016, the trio collectively sold an incredible $40 million dollars in sales volume. Even more impressive, they accomplished these numbers in a market where the average sales price hovers in the mid $200,000 range.

In late 2016, the team found themselves wanting to provide more technology to their clients. It was something they couldn’t find at their previous company.

“Being up to date and current with trends in our real estate market is important if we are to help our clients,” said Tom. “Knowing we had to improve, it served as the perfect opportunity to look at starting our own brokerage and brand.”

“We know that the addition of the NextHome brand, combined with our existing win-win attitude of working with our clients, will provide the edge many agents in our area haven’t been able to be a part of before,” added Dana.

“We chose NextHome because of the technology, but the company provides so much more than that,” said Eric. “The franchise allows us to run our brokerage in a flexible way, tailored to our specific market. They allow us to stay and act local, yet provide a huge national platform for us to collaborate and share with other agents and brokers from around the nation.”

That difference is felt not only by the leadership team, but by their agents too.

“Our town is a small town, military-based community,” said Dru Swain. “I grew up here and know the family feeling we have in our community. NextHome Cornerstone Realty represents that family feeling. At other companies, you can feel lost or undervalued. It’s a totally different experience here.”

Please join us in welcoming Dana, Tom, Eric and the rest of their team at NextHome Cornerstone Realty for the opening of their new NextHome office!
