Pleasanton, CA— June 29, 2017 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Premier Choice. The brokerage is the ninth NextHome franchised location in the state of Texas.
Based in Plano, NextHome Premier Choice will be providing real estate services such as single family residential sales, commercial, multi-units, luxury and move-up, and farm & ranch properties.
NextHome Premier Choice will help buyers and sellers in all areas of Metropolitan Dallas-Fort Worth – including Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Prosper.
Plano is a suburb located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Dallas. The Dallas Metro area is home to over seven million residents and is the fourth most-populated Metro area in the United States.
The company will be owned and operated by business partners Allison Cummins, Claire Hanks, and Brad Brandt. Cummins will serve as the President and Principal Owner with a focus on company growth, training the agents, and business development. Hanks will serve as Executive VP with a focus on day-to-day operations of the brokerage including all back office and accounting responsibilities. Hanks will also serve as the broker of record for the company. Brandt will serve as Executive VP with a focus on business strategy.
Cummins’ leadership background stems from nearly a decade of experience as a Team Leader under the Keller Williams brokerage system. As the Team Leader/CEO of Keller Williams in Frisco, Texas, Cummins grew the brokerage from 175 agents to nearly 300 agents in just under three years. It was the role of Team Leader that Cummins credits to helping her understand how to effectively run a brokerage.
“I’m a believer in building relationships with our company’s agents and understanding their individual strengths and challenges and how I can assist them in being better,” said Cummins.
During her time at Keller Williams, Cummins became friends and business colleagues with Hanks. The friends discussed the possibility of one day opening their own brokerage when the time was right.
In 2014, Cummins made the switch to a local independent brokerage where she served as Area Director and was eventually promoted to VP of Operations for the region in charge of over 260 agents.
As the market changed in 2016, Hanks and Cummins felt it was the right time to open their own brokerage. But as they looked at opening their own company, it was Cummins’ uncle (Brandt) who introduced NextHome as a franchise option to the future business partners.
“My uncle Brad is an agent with NextHome Experience in Columbus, Ohio,” said Cummins. “He told me about the NextHome franchise and how well the model was working for the brokerage in Ohio. Knowing that we didn’t want to be part of the same old boring big box franchises, we found NextHome to be exactly the unique and exciting franchise we wanted to be a part of.”
