Pleasanton, CA — February 21, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Bluegrass. The brokerage represents the fourth location opened in the state of Kentucky for the NextHome franchise.
Based in Richmond, the company will be owned and operated by top-producing REALTOR® Linda Lester. She will be joined on the leadership team by Broker of Record, Angie Alexander, and Office Manager, Cynthia Childress.
NextHome Bluegrass will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, multi-family properties, commercial, veteran and military relocation, as well as land and farm sales to the areas of Richmond, Berea, Mt. Vernon, Irvine, Waco, Lancaster, and the rest of Madison and Rockcastle Counties.
Licensed since 1999, Lester has spent her entire career with one company before coming to NextHome. Working out of a Coldwell Banker office in Richmond, she got her career started as a new home builder before getting her license and joining the brokerage.
Over the next 14 years, she built a strong business which eventually needed assistance from a team of five REALTORS® to keep up with the increase in annual sales.
In 2013, the owner of the brokerage retired and Lester stepped in as the new owner for the company. Under her leadership, the brokerage grew to 20 agents in less than 18 months.
In 2017, Lester took a long look at her options during the renewal period of her franchise affiliation.
“We were just about to move to a new location in a new building,” recalled Lester. “After finding out more about the NextHome franchise, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to start fresh with a new franchise affiliation.”
“The new fresh and colorful branding was an eye-catching difference,” she added. “To be able to provide such great client tools for my agents in an affordable way was the piece that made NextHome an easy choice.”
Lester is active in the real estate community, as well as donates time and resources to community projects. She volunteers and sponsors an organization called Day of Hope. The organization provides food to more than 4,000 less fortunate people in the Richmond area.
When not selling real estate, Lester enjoys spending time with her husband of 15 years, Dennis. The couple are life-long fishermen and try to fish every opportunity they can. The Lesters have two adult children.
