Pleasanton, CA — March 30, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome East Bay Group. The brokerage represents the 54th location opened in the state of California for the NextHome franchise.
Based in Pittsburg, the company will be owned and operated by business partners Michael Bardales and Chris Strange. Strange will serve as the Chief Executive Officer and will handle all sales related activities for the brokerage. Bardales will serve as the Chief Operating Officer and be in charge of all technology and day-to-day operations for the company.
The brokerage will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, luxury, new construction, and relocation property services to the communities of Pittsburg, Antioch, Concord, Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley and the remainder of Contra Costa and Alameda counties.
Pittsburg is located one hour west of San Francisco and is home to just over 65,000 residents.
Bardales started in the real estate space in 2004 as an in-house lender for a local franchised real estate office. Over the next six years, Bardales built a significant mortgage business. In 2010, he made the move to loan officer for a local independent real estate brokerage.
In 2013, Bardales opened Total Real Estate – a brokerage that featured both mortgage and real estate under one roof.
That same year, Bardales met Strange at a local National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) event. Finding commonality in business acumen and professional goals, Strange began working with Bardales on various real estate transactions.
In 2014, the partners closed 20 transactions. Just one year later, Bardales and Strange opened a physical office in Oakland and took on eight additional agents. Soon after, they opened a second office in Pittsburg.
In 2017, they wanted to provide better technology and services for their agents. After searching for the right franchise fit, all roads led back to NextHome.
“Even though Chris and I did 40 deals for about $25 million in volume, we still wanted to improve our company’s service for our clients,” said Bardales. “Partnering with NextHome helps us reach that goal.”
“The difference in our brokerage is that we are all about helping an agent build their career,” he added.
Bardales doesn’t just put efforts into sales and the brokerage, but in his community as well. He volunteers at Montera Middle School in Oakland in various events such as the Annual Fall Fest and the “Dad’s Club” – a group of parents who donate time into fundraisers throughout the year.
Bardales currently serves as the 2018 Vice Chair for the Contra Costa Association of REALTORS®.
Both Strange and Bardales are proud husbands and fathers and enjoy time off with their families.
Bardales has been married to his high-school sweetheart, Jennifer, for the past 20 years. The couple have three children – Isabella (age 14), Elizabeth (13), and Marcello (11).
Strange and his wife of 15 years, Jacqueline, have four children – Angie, Quinten, Emilio, and Antonio.
Please join us in congratulating Michael, Chris and the rest of the team at NextHome East Bay Group on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in Pittsburg, CA!
