Pleasanton, CA — April 20, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Community Real Estate. The brokerage represents the third location opened in the state of Nevada for the NextHome franchise.
Based in Northwest Las Vegas, the company will be owned and operated by business partners Pete Torsiello and Michael Johnson. Their brokerage will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, luxury, multi-family properties, and second-home sales to the communities of Providence, Centennial Hills, Summerlin, Aliante, Mountain’s Edge, Henderson, and the remainder of the Las Vegas Valley.
As one of the most densely populated areas of the western region of the United States, the Metro Las Vegas area is home to 2.2 million residents.
Pete started his real estate career in 2008 after 15 years in the sports memorabilia business. Initially he began selling homes as a side project, but after quickly earning more business than he could handle, Pete converted to full-time real estate in 2010.
In his first full year in real estate, Pete sold more than 40 transactions while managing the day-to-day for more than 250 investment properties. Continuing to build upon his individual business, he made the move to Signature Real Estate in 2014, as a partner in a branch location.
Before partnering with Pete, Michael built a very successful real estate business himself. Starting real estate in 2013 with Signature Real Estate, Michael was still working full time in the medical field, yet sold 17 homes part-time in his very first year. When he made the move to full-time REALTOR® in 2016, he sold more than 30 homes that year.
“After getting to know Michael, we clicked personally and professionally,” said Pete. “He’s a smart guy who I really respect. The way he built his business and how he cares for his clients impressed me.”
In 2017, Pete and Michael partnered and formed The Torsiello Group. They sold 178 transactions last year to the tune of $47 million in volume.
Even though Pete was a part of the ownership for the branch location, he wanted to be an owner of a brokerage where he could implement more of his ideas for marketing, training and branding.
Pete and Michael started exploring opening their own company. Originally, they had no intention of joining a franchise. But after speaking with an existing NextHome franchisee, they took a deeper look as to what the company offered.
“We have known Billy Alt for some time,” said Michael. “We respect what he has done as a top-producing REALTOR® and wanted to know more about why he made the switch to NextHome.”
“The more we researched the franchise, the more we realized our values aligned,” added Pete. “We had a chance to meet with (NextHome VP of Business Development) Imran Poladi while he was in Vegas and everything he told us about the company has been exactly what we were looking for. After we signed up and went to Northern California for franchise training, the company was better than advertised.”
“We are thrilled to be a part of the NextHome franchise,” said Michael.
The business partners say the difference in their brokerage is their hands-on, service oriented approach. They have a high expectation of their agents and will provide the tools and support to help their team deliver world-class hyper-local client service.
NextHome Community Real Estate is more than just the name of the brokerage. The company is very involved in the Las Vegas community with a focus on working with teachers.
They are sponsors of the “Thank a Teacher” program where they ask Las Vegas residents to nominate a teacher each month via social media. They draw a winner from the nominees and treat that teacher to various prizes or events such as vacations, hockey tickets, or a show and dinner on the Las Vegas Strip.
When not selling real estate, both Pete and Michael love spending time with their families.
Pete and his wife Christina have been married 11 years and have two boys – Nathan (age 10) and Dominic (7). The Torsiellos love hockey and you’ll often find them at the T-Mobile Arena watching their beloved NHL team, The Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Michael and his partner, Grant, have been together the past two years. Michael loves to spend time with his seven-year old son, Preston. The family enjoys going to the movies, going to the dog park, and any and all outdoor activities.
