Pleasanton, CA — June 13, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our latest addition to the franchise, NextHome All Island. Owned and operated by top-producing REALTOR® Ed Svec, the brokerage represents the sixth NextHome location in the state of New York.
Based in Garden City, the brokerage will provide residential real estate services to the areas of Garden City, Franklin Square, Mineola, West Hempstead, and the remainder of Western Nassau County.
NextHome All Island will provide services such as first-time homebuyer representation, investment purchases, and new home builder business.
Located 20 miles east of Midtown Manhattan, Garden City is home to nearly 25,000 residents.
Starting his real estate career in 2014, Ed worked for Signature Homes, as a new home construction sales person. Selling the neighborhood of West Hempstead, Ed was in charge of selling inventory directly to the home purchaser as the representative of the subdivision.
Over the next four years, he was able to sell through dozens of homes worth of inventory for the home building company.
In 2018, Ed felt it was the right time to take his residential sales experience to buyers and sellers throughout the Garden City area.
“I really enjoyed my time working for a new home builder,” he said. “But I wanted to expand my business to cater to anyone who needed real estate assistance. Opening my own brokerage made the most sense.”
Ed was looking for a company that would allow him to offer top-notch tools and services to prospective agents. It was a colleague and friend who introduced him to NextHome.
“A friend of mine, who is a home inspector, told me that he went to a real estate convention and found out about NextHome,” recalled Ed. “He told me about what the company offered, but more importantly, he talked about how amazing the people are at the franchise.”

When not selling real estate, Ed loves to spend time with his family. He and his wife of three years, Tanya, have a 14-month-old boy, Ed. The couple are expecting their second child in September 2018.
An avid hockey fan, you’ll find Ed playing hockey at least twice a week. He also enjoys snowboarding and fishing.
