Pleasanton, CA — September 22, 2021 — NextHome is pleased to announce the expansion of NextHome Legendary Properties in Dickinson, North Dakota. This expansion represents the third brokerage location for NextHome Legendary Properties, building on the success of offices in Minot and Bismarck. The brokerage represents the 515th office to join the NextHome franchise out of 537 active office locations across the country.

The Dickinson office is owned by top-producing real estate broker Scott Louser and Caitlin Patterson is office manager.

Under their leadership, NextHome Legendary Properties will provide exceptional residential real estate services to clients in this growing town of more than 22,000 people located just off Interstate 94.

“We are looking forward to providing industry-leading service and technology to our Dickinson clients,” Scott said.

Three dedicated agents with a deep knowledge of the area are already poised to provide that elevated service level.

“This office provides a permanent home for these professionals in Dickinson,” Scott said.

Licensed since 1997, Scott is a second-generation REALTOR®, taking after his father Larry, who started his real estate career in the mid-1970’s. Father and son worked side-by-side at Preferred Minot Real Estate.

Just a few years into his real estate career, Scott went on to become one of the top producers in his area. In 1999, Scott sold an incredible 50 homes and has continued that trend ever since.

Scott not only started strongly in sales, but was asked by several peers in local real estate leadership to become a Director of the Minot Board of REALTORS®. In 2001, he served as President of the Minot Board of REALTORS®. His time as President helped him realize the importance of REALTOR® leadership and its significant role in homeownership.

From 2002 to 2005, Scott served on the Executive Team for the North Dakota Association of REALTORS® (NDAR). His excellent service eventually led to him holding the highest position in North Dakota organized real estate – serving as State President of NDAR in 2005.

Even with his commitments to real estate leadership, Scott continued his strong sales career and was awarded the NDAR State REALTOR® of The Year in 2006.

In 2006, Scott started a three-year term as a Director for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

In 2007, on the tenth anniversary of getting his real estate license, Scott was asked by his father to take over the Preferred Minot Real Estate brokerage. Overwhelmed, but thankful, Scott took over as owner and CEO of the brokerage.

In 2009, Scott served as one of 13 Regional Vice Presidents for the NAR. He was responsible for overseeing the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska.

In 2012, Scott served as the National Association of REALTORS® Vice President and was in charge of Government Affairs and Public Policy.

As a graduate of Minot State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Management, Scott has always made a commitment to education.

He holds the NAR designations Certified Residential Broker (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Accredited Buyer’s Representative Manager (ABRM), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), and Electronic Professional (E-Pro).

Due to his service as a champion of home ownership and private property rights, Scott added public service to his growing list of roles.

In 2010, Scott was elected to the North Dakota State House of Representatives for a four-year term. In 2014, he was re-elected to the same position and will serve through 2018.

In 2013, Scott introduced a Bill to create a Constitutional Amendment to permanently ban transfer taxes upon a sale of a home in North Dakota. Once the legislature passed the Bill, it was backed by NAR and NDAR.

In the November 2014 election, eight measures were on the ballot – including Scott’s Bill. When the votes were tallied, only one Bill passed – the permanent ban on transfer taxes upon sale of a home in North Dakota.

During Scott’s years in leadership service, he never lost focus of his main priority – running a dynamic and successful real estate office. In his years running the Minot and Bismarck NextHome Legendary offices, Scott has seen both brokerages take significant market share and he has grown the company to be an award-winning office.

Scott credits many of these successes to NextHome Legendary Properties exceptional leadership. Tammi Winbauer is manager of the Bismarck office, Corey Mock manages a new-coming office, and Desri Neether is in charge of training across the state.

Please join us in congratulating Scott and the entire team at NextHome Legendary Properties on their new Dickinson, North Dakota office!
