Pleasanton, CA — February 11, 2022 — NextHome is proud to announce two new offices opening under the leadership of broker/owner Kyiandra Somerville. NextHome KCS Realty will operate in Killeen, Texas and Warrenton, North Carolina. These brokerages represent the 550th and 553rd offices to join the NextHome franchise out of 568 active office locations across the country.
Kyiandra is thrilled to serve two communities that she has been fortunate enough to call home.
“At the beginning of the year, I retired from 20 years of military service,” Kyiandra said. “My time as an Army Officer has given me the opportunity to develop strong connections in both Killeen and Warrenton. I am looking forward to continuing to serve these communities.”
Located just an hour north of Austin, the Killeen area is home to many U.S. Army service members stationed at Fort Hood. In Texas, NextHome KCS Realty will provide residential real estate services to clients in Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, Nolanville, Lampasas, Belton, Temple, and Killeen.
NextHome KCS Realty (Warrenton) is located less than 20 minutes south of the Virginia border and will serve residential buyers and sellers throughout Henderson, Oxford, Raleigh, Durham, and Greensboro. The Warrenton office also offers expertise to clients in Virginia, including Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Chester, and Fort Lee.
Kyiandra has been a real estate sales professional since 2004. After obtaining her license, she spent four years selling with boutique brokerage Meybohm Realtors. After leaving Maybohm Realtors, Kyiandra spent the next seven years gaining experience as an associate of two nationally franchised brands. In 2015, she opened her own independent brokerage, KCS Realty, which she is now converting into a NextHome franchise.
Through the years, Kyiandra prided herself on her exceptional service to both her community and her country.
“I went to officer candidate school while scaling down real estate to part time,” Kyiandra said. “Now I’ve been doing both for almost 20 years and I absolutely love it. It’s been a blessing to be able to do both.”
Although she had initially planned to keep her independent brokerage a one-woman operation, KCS Realty began to attract exceptional talent. With nine agents now affiliated with the brokerage, Kyiandra knew she wanted to offer them more for their money.
“I want to be able to give them more training, more resources, more technology, and that is really cost-prohibitive if you don’t have the scale of a big name brokerage,” Kyiandra said.
As she searched for the right franchise to affiliate with, Kyiandra wanted to find a company that allowed her to maintain her independence, but also helped her to evolve and grow.
“I found NextHome through a high school classmate who became a NextHomie,” Kyiandra said. “I watched her career evolve and knew she had something worth looking into.”
Kyiandra quickly discovered a family-like atmosphere that resonated with her existing business philosophy.
“I felt like everyone at NextHome was on the same team and looking out for each other,” Kyiandra said. “That’s something that I really stress with my agents that we are a team where people always come before profits. I felt that cohesive feeling and I didn’t get that with any other franchises I looked into.”
Today, NextHome KCS Realty takes pride in providing a full service brokerage that handles everything from beginning to end.
“We are big on educating our clients on the process of home buying, because we know that for first-time homebuyers this might not be their last real estate transaction,” Kyiandra said. “When they are ready for that next transaction, we want them to know exactly what they are talking about. For us, it is about helping people feel comfortable asking questions and know exactly what they are getting into.”

Outside of the office, Kyiandra feels strongly about serving her community and intends to continue a life of service after retiring from the military. Much of her community service centers around supporting her local schools in quiet, impactful ways.
