Pleasanton, CA — June 28, 2022 — NextHome is proud to announce the expansion of NextHome One with a new office in Fenton, Michigan. The Fenton office expands on the success of NextHome One’s original location in Brighton, Michigan.
Centrally located between Flint, Ann Arbor, and Lansing, the Fenton-based brokerage offers exceptional expertise for residential buyers and sellers throughout Genesee County.
The brokerage joins the growing NextHome franchise that currently has 589 active office locations across the country.
NextHome One is owned by Rachele Evers and Aaren Currie. Laura James rounds out the leadership team at the Fenton office’s sales manager.
“Aaren and Rachele are two of the most dynamic people I have ever met,” Laura said. “With Aaren’s 40-plus year career in Livingston County, and Rachele’s remarkable education, warmth, and drive, I really think we are going to change the dynamic in our real estate market.”
Rachele began her real estate career in 2013 with Coldwell Banker Town and Country.
“I am all-in, whatever I choose to pursue,” Rachele said. “As a real estate professional, I take my fiduciary responsibility to my client very seriously. I am constantly refining my skills so I can better represent my client.”
Rachele has also worked with 3DX Real Estate, then KW Living. However, Rachele’s goal from day one was to own her own franchise.
“My end game has always been to elevate my industry by inspiring those around me to selflessly represent the best interests of their clients,” Rachele said.
In June, Rachele opened NextHome One in Brighton. The NextHome difference quickly caught Laura’s attention.
Laura has been a high-achieving real estate professional for more than 21 years. Laura started her real estate career working in the marketing department of a local independent brokerage, using her background in marketing and architectural preservation. Eventually, Laura transitioned to larger projects and discovered a love for helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate dreams. Since first obtaining her license, Laura has consistently been a top producer in her area.
During the housing downturn in 2007, Laura developed strong relationships with banks and helped her brokerage achieve some of the highest foreclosure sales numbers in her area. Laura also spent many years working with a foreclosure law firm as a real estate expert and advisor.
As her career evolved, Laura became a widely-recognized coach and trainer for a multi-county region. Laura has helped coach and train more than 350 agents.
After transitioning back into her own personal sales career, Laura connected with NextHome.
“I bumped into Rachele and Aaren and discovered that they were planning a Fenton office right down the street from where I live, work, shop, and play,” Laura said. “I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of, and I am thrilled that they chose me to be their sales manager.”

Laura has been married to her husband, Caleb, since 2014. The two have known each other since childhood, but reconnected as adults. Laura has one son, Alex, and she has welcomed Alex’s three children into her home as her own: Memphis, Layla, and Cash. Laura and Caleb also have a daughter, Rowan.
The family loves spending time together on their 10-acre homestead in Lindon.
