NextHome Champions (Traverse City) builds on the success of two additional NextHome Champions offices in Holland and Grand Rapids. These offices have been offering clients exceptional service since opening in 2017 and 2019.
All three brokerages are owned by Tom Smolinski, a high-performing professional with a passion for real estate’s best technology, training, and support. Jessica Brutzman will step into the role of managing broker and lead training associate at the Traverse City office.

Jessica is an experienced REALTOR® with over 15 years of experience compassionately serving area buyers and sellers. Jessica’s areas of expertise include First-Time Home Buying, Military Relocation, Resort and Second Homes, Senior housing needs as well as Short Sale and Foreclosures.
In addition, Jessica serves on numerous boards and committees including Grand Traverse County Parks and Recreation and the City of Traverse City Coast Guard Committee.
As a lifelong learner, Jessica offers clients the most up-to-date guidance in an easy-to-understand way. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Spring Arbor University, and in 2022 she completed a professional fellowship with Michigan State University. Jessica has also studied interior design and drafting.
Being a National Guard/Marines military spouse, Jessica has a special appreciation for stress that accompanies military relocation.
Tom began his real estate career in 2005 after spending many years in engineering.
With his commitment to world-class service and his attention to detail, Tom steadily built his business to the tune of more than 100 transactions annually.
Tom ranks as one of the top 10 REALTORS® out of 3,000+ agents in his local Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
After years of selling real estate under a real estate broker, Tom started his own company, Epsilon Resources, which focused on local needs of homeowners who were facing foreclosure.
In early 2017, Tom wanted to add a higher level of technology to his brokerage business services. That’s when he discovered NextHome.
