Pleasanton, CA — February 16, 2024 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Chism Realty, located in Brandenburg, Kentucky. The brokerage joins the growing NextHome franchise that currently has 613 active office locations across the country.
Conveniently located just 45 minutes southwest of Louisville, NextHome Chism Realty serves clients throughout Brandenburg, Vine Grove, Radcliff, Ekron, Guston, Elizabethtown, Glendale, and Hardinsburg, in addition to Louisville and Jefferson counties and the remainder of the Fort Knox area.
NextHome Chism Realty is locally owned by area expert and lifetime local, Brian Chism. Brian has been guiding clients through their transactions since becoming licensed in 2017.
Prior to real estate, Brian worked in online auctions, politics, and real estate investment. He is also the owner of a local property management company.
In 2017, full-time real estate sales provided Brian with the perfect combination for his talents and interests.
“Growing up, I didn’t want to be behind a desk 9 to 5,” Brian said. “I grew up on a farm and was always outside. I wanted a career where I could connect with people, be out in the community, and have conversations. Real estate gives me the opportunity to be a professional people person and problem solver. Finding creative solutions for my clients is rewarding.”
After delving into real estate full-time, Brian gained experience at regional and national franchises in Bowling Green and Louisville. As demand for his real estate representation grew, Brian opened his own independent brokerage.
Chism Realty Company launched in 2021 and served clients with Brian’s signature combination of professionalism and industry knowledge. Over the years, real estate franchises approached Brian asking him to partner. However, he wanted a forward-thinking company with the industry’s best tools, technology, and training.
“These other companies just weren’t the right fit for what I wanted,” Brian said. “Then I found NextHome.”
As he looked to the future of his company, Brian wanted a partner that was a leader in real estate.
“Seeing that NextHome was growing faster than any other real estate franchise really piqued my interest,” Brian said. “They have got to be doing something right.”
What he discovered was a company led by influential leaders in real estate, who each had extensive industry backgrounds.

A fourth-generation local, Brian enjoys spending time working at the family farm.
Outside of real estate, Brian enjoys supporting the Meade County FFA, and the Kentucky FFA Association and Foundation.
A connection to the community and public service runs deep in Brian’s family. His grandfather was the county jailer and his father also served in public office. Brian has also run for office, but is now glad he can devote his full attention to real estate.
