NextHome PropertyLink serves clients throughout Tarrant, Parker, and Wise counties, in addition to the greater Fort Worth area.
NextHome PropertyLink is owned by Tammy Popperwell, a people-first real estate professional with more than 30 years of broad industry expertise. Joining Tammy in this endeavor is her husband, Dennis Popperwell, who brings a wealth of real estate sales experience specializing in new homes.
Together, Tammy and Dennis look forward to providing unparalleled service for first-time home buying, luxury, new homes, investment, relocation, condos, townhomes, leasing, land, farm and ranch, and more.
Tammy has been immersed in real estate since first obtaining her license in 1985.
For 25 years, Tammy owned a home-building company. In addition to new construction expertise, Tammy is a Luxury Certified REALTOR®, Accredited Buyers Representative, and offers exceptional care for military relocations and veteran buyers.
As her career evolved, Tammy not only grew a successful new home construction business but also launched a commercial construction company. Projects included rebranding and building many locations for a large restaurant franchise.
Eventually, Tammy returned to full-time residential real estate sales at a local brokerage. During these years, Tammy’s talents for mentoring blossomed and she reignited her passion for helping people buy and sell houses.
Throughout her sales career, Tammy developed a unique talent for navigating complex transactions and she continues to feel great pride when overcoming challenges for her clients.
“I care about each client and helping them achieve their real estate goals,” Tammy said. “I am very passionate about helping people. As a Realtor, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing a client’s joy and excitement when they receive the keys to their new home on closing day. That moment of pure satisfaction is truly what this job is all about.”
Tammy’s extensive expertise in Texas real estate led to leadership roles at the last company she was with. As Director of Mentorship Training, Tammy was able to use her talents for nurturing others.
To help agents develop confidence and success, Tammy created an extensive agent manual for internal training and a resource for agents..
In addition to providing unparalleled support for agents, she accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer – launching new back-end systems and providing agent assistance.
With her vast industry perspective, Tammy recognized that in 2024 real estate was evolving yet again. Major shifts from class action lawsuit settlements, and changing consumer behaviors, prompted Tammy to research long-term strategies for her thriving business.
“We’re encountering various challenges in the industry, and I’m truly impressed with how NextHome’s leadership continuously keeps agents informed about these issues,” Tammy said. “They’re providing valuable insights and guidance to help agents understand the implications and to navigate these changes effectively.”
While researching franchises, Tammy delved into podcasts and webinars from NextHome CEO James Dwiggins and NextHome Chief Strategy Officer, Keith Robinson – two longtime leaders in the national conversation over real estate class action lawsuits.
“The unparalleled support and enthusiasm from Charis Moreno, NextHome’s Vice President of Sales, played a pivotal role in my decision to open my own NextHome franchise,” added Tammy. “Her dedication and insightful guidance were instrumental, underscoring NextHome’s commitment to fostering success and innovation within the real estate industry.”
In addition to knowing that NextHome was a secure partner for the future, Tammy was also impressed by the company’s industry-leading tech stack, its bold marketing, and how everyone genuinely loved being a part of the NextHome culture.

Tammy and Dennis are the parents of four children and 10 grandchildren. The couple can often be found cheering on their grandchildren at sporting events and enjoying Wednesday night dinners with their local family.
