Pleasanton, CA — October 11, 2024 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Key Realty, located in Taneytown, Maryland. The brokerage joins the growing NextHome franchise that currently has over 600 active office locations across the country.
Located in rural Maryland, NextHome Key Realty serves clients throughout Carroll, Frederick, and Washington counties. The brokerage is additionally licensed in Pennsylvania and is ready to expertly serve clients in Pennsylvania’s Adams, York, and Franklin counties.
NextHome Key Realty is owned by Eryn Topper, a former marketing professional with a passion for helping people buy and sell homes.

Eryn has lived in the Taneytown area for more than two decades. Prior to real estate, Eryn leveraged her degree in graphic design to build a thriving career in design and marketing. Eryn spent many years managing marketing lines on the corporate level before working in digital email marketing and advertising.
Eryn has been around real estate sales her entire life. Both her godmother and grandmother built careers in real estate.
“Although it wasn’t the right fit for me when I was younger, I came to realize how much I loved real estate,” Eryn said. “I loved looking at houses through the eyes of a designer. I was always interested in how people decorated. Also, home has always been a very sacred place to me. Home is your sanctuary, the safest place you can go. To help someone find that perfect place is so rewarding. Bringing all those things together – design, a love of homes, and helping people reach a milestone – inspired me to become a real estate agent.”
Since 2020, Eryn has partnered with both franchised firms and local independent offices. During those years, she built a reputation for honesty, integrity, and putting her clients first.
“I want to help as many people as possible achieve their goals for selling or buying their property,” Eryn said.
Looking to the future, Eryn wanted to find efficient and cost-effective ways to take her business to the next level. Then, she read an article in REALTOR® Magazine about NextHome.
“I thought, wow, I’ve never heard of NextHome before, and the more I read the more it appealed to me,” Eryn said. “I started reading about the included member benefits, the technology, the tools, and the support. I knew I needed to look closer at NextHome.”
Now, as a new NextHome brokerage owner, Eryn is looking forward to simplifying her back-office work so she can focus more time with her clients.
“NextHome is a great mix between a small, boutique brokerage and a nationally-supported brand,” Eryn said. “Plus, the branding is amazing.”
With her background in corporate marketing, Eryn was immediately intrigued by Luke, NextHome’s Frenchie Dog Mascot. However, Eryn also knew that NextHome was the right fit because of the company’s emphasis on putting Humans Over Houses.
“I don’t know that I could say it better myself,” Eryn said. “NextHome’s approach was exactly the way that I do business. NextHome will make a splash in this area, and I’m excited to see what the future brings.”

Eryn is the proud mother of two children. Carley is a senior in high school and a very accomplished field hockey player. Junior is a sophomore in his school who excels in wrestling.
