Pleasanton, CA— July 13, 2017 — NextHome is proud to announce our latest addition to the franchise, NextHome Tidewater Realty. The brokerage will represent the fourth NextHome franchise location opened in the state of Virginia. The company will be owned and operated by real estate broker, Robin Gauthier.
Based out of Chesapeake, NextHome Tidewater Realty will provide residential real estate sales services to various cities including Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach.
Chesapeake is home to 225,000 residents and borders Virginia Beach – one of the most popular tourist destinations in Virginia.
The brokerage will provide real estate services such as first-time home buyers, investment properties, and help military families with their housing needs.
Formerly a juvenile probation officer, Gauthier made the move to real estate in 2007. Originally starting her real estate career as a part time role she could do on her off time, Gauthier’s first-class service she provided to her clients steadily gained her business year-over-year.
“After having my second child, I just wanted to work in a career that allowed me to spend more time with my children,” recalls Gauthier. “As I began to work with more and more clients, I realized I could leave juvenile probation and focus on real estate full time.”
Over the past ten years, Gauthier worked for EXIT Realty in Chesapeake, and was consistently one of the top producers in her area. Last year was her best year yet, with her helping 40 clients buy or sell a home.
Gauthier credits her commitments to understanding today’s consumer and their need for technology.
“When I first started real estate, I immediately took to the technology that would allow me to communicate better with my clients, as well as any tech tools that would help me be more efficient during the transaction,” said Gauthier.
“And I was an early blogger, which allowed me to be known as a real estate industry expert in our community whenever someone searched online for information,” she added.
In 2016, Gauthier wanted to explore the opportunity to sell across state lines. With her just a few miles from the North Carolina state border, Gauthier found out that the process of getting her North Carolina real estate license would also have a lot of the same criteria of getting her broker’s license.
As a trusted resource in her office, she was always available to help agents who had questions about transactions or how to market their business. It made perfect sense to open her own business, and in late 2016, she began the process.
Understanding the value of leverage and not re-inventing the wheel, Gauthier looked to a franchise to connect with her future brokerage.
“It was love at first sight,” Gauthier says with a laugh. “NextHome was everything that appealed to me. The look caught my eye and I really liked all the technology the company provided. It just made sense to be a NextHome brokerage.”
NextHome Tidewater Realty currently has five agents (not including Gauthier), who are focused on making a difference in their local community.
“We at NextHome Tidewater Realty are focused on families – not files,” said Gauthier. “We want our clients to know that we care about them as people and we want to provide the responsive and caring service they deserve.”
When not selling real estate, Gauthier enjoys spending time with her husband of nearly 17 years, Jason, and their three children – sons Logan (14 years old) and Jakob (12), and daughter Makenzie (9).
Please join us in welcoming Robin and the rest of her team at NextHome Tidewater Realty to the NextHome family and congratulating them on their brand new office location!
