Pleasanton, CA— July 28, 2017 — NextHome is proud to announce our latest addition to the franchise, NextHome Journey. The brokerage will represent the second NextHome franchised location opened in the state of Iowa.
The company will be owned and operated by business real estate broker, Kelli Excell. Excell will handle most of the responsibilities of the brokerage, but Mandee Lind and Tony McFarland will join her on the leadership team.
Based out of Ames, NextHome Journey will provide residential real estate sales services to various areas such as Ames, Boone, Story City, Huxley, Nevada, Ankeny, Gilbert, Ogden, Roland and the remainder of the Des Moines area.
Ames is located approximately 30 miles north of Des Moines and has over 60,000 residents. The city is the home of Iowa State University. Interestingly, Ames is also the birthplace of the Atanasoff-Berry computer – the world’s first electronic digital computer.
NextHome Journey will be the real estate sales brokerage of the longtime Iowa brokerage – The Triplett Company. With over 100 years of history, the Triplett Company has been a staple in the community. The Triplett Company is divided into three distinctive businesses: Triplett Property Management, Triplett Insurance, and Triplett Real Estate.
In 2007, Excell and her family purchased the longtime Triplett family owned business. Excell moved the focus to property management and over the course of the last decade, the property management division is now responsible for managing over 1,000 properties.
With the company having strong market share in both insurance and property management, Excell is transitioning the real estate sales brokerage from Triplett Real Estate to NextHome Journey. This new look for the brokerage coincides with the renewed focus on growing the sales division. With six agents working on the sales side, the company is poised to make a mark in Ames.
Excell found NextHome through a Google search and loved everything the franchise had to offer.
