Pleasanton, CA — March 25, 2022 — NextHome is pleased to announce the opening of NextHome West Realty in Seal Beach, California. The brokerage represents the 554th office to join the NextHome franchise out of 572 active office locations across the country.
NextHome West Realty specializes in all types of residential realty, including first-time homebuyers, relocation, investment, and luxury. The brokerage will serve clients throughout Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Seal Beach, Westminster, and Garden Grove. Under the leadership of broker/owner Steve Batiz, NextHome West Realty can also serve clients in the Temecula and Murrieta areas.
Steve spent several years as a nationally recognized web developer and entrepreneur before obtaining his real estate license in 2014. In the late 1990s, Steve’s web development business was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the fastest-growing businesses of the time.
However, real estate piqued Steve’s interest and as his career evolved, he gave the industry a chance.
“It was intimidating at first, but I quickly learned to love everything about it,” Steve said.
Steve worked with several nationally recognized franchises as well as regional independents, including experience working with teams. His dedication to excellence quickly propelled Steve to the Top 10 tier of associates in a brokerage of 350 people. Steve has also been a top producer for much of his career. Last year, Steve achieved $16 million in annual sales.
Throughout his real estate career, Steve remained interested in leveraging the latest technology for his clients.
“While the tools at these large brokerages were promising, they didn’t integrate well, and I didn’t end up using them,” Steve said. “I started looking around at what franchises had to offer.”
Steve discovered NextHome after a quick internet search. With his web development background, Steve was attracted by the franchise’s single-sign-on and seamless integration with his MLS. Polished marketing and the ability to streamline listings through NextHome’s back-end programs also appealed to Steve.
“I also loved how NextHome was about putting quality over quantity,” Steve said. “I didn’t want to partner with a franchise that was going to force me to make recruiting my main focus. I want to focus my attention on providing exceptional support to my associates and clients.”
Today, NextHome West Realty is combining NextHome’s suite of world-class technology with Steve’s exceptional sales skills, and dedication to his clients.

Steve and his girlfriend Kerri enjoy exploring Seal Beach, and basking in all that southern California living has to offer. Steve has five children and one grandson. He is also a past Master of the Temecula Freemason Lodge and a member of the Navy Yacht Club in Long Beach.
