Pleasanton, CA — June 23, 2022 — NextHome is pleased to announce the opening of NextHome True North Realty in Tulare, California. The brokerage joins the growing NextHome franchise that currently has 587 active office locations across the country.
The brokerage is located in Central California’s heart of agriculture, just an hour north of Bakersfield and about an hour south of Fresno. Better known as the Tulare/Visalia area, the region is home to more than 475,000 people who are drawn to its vast agricultural opportunities and open space.
NextHome True North Realty will serve all types of residential clients throughout Visalia, Tulare, Lindsay, Porterville, Hanford, and Lemoore. The brokerage is owned by Ernie S. Flores, a longtime local educator with a heart for real estate.
Ernie spent 25 years in public education before obtaining his real estate license in 2018. He has served as a high school teacher and coach, assistant principal, high school principal, and school district superintendent. Throughout his years of educational service, Ernie maintained an entrepreneurial spirit and love for real estate. When it came time to make a career change, he wanted a job where he could combine his love of entrepreneurship with direct client care.
“I always wanted to get my real estate license, but never had the time,” Ernie said. “Making that leap allowed me to continue serving others in a very real way while also fulfilling my entrepreneurial drive.”
Ernie spent the next several years building a reputation for excellence while working with local Keller Williams and EXP franchises.
However, owning his own brokerage was always Ernie’s goal. He began looking into franchising opportunities and discovered NextHome.
“When I compared all of these different franchises against each other, then aligned them with my personal values, NextHome was the clear choice for me,” Ernie said.
NextHome’s Humans Over Houses philosophy aligned with Ernie’s love for his community.
“My priority is reaching out to people and being a part of the community,” Ernie said. “That’s how I want to run my business. I knew that if I could partner with people who have the same heart, determination, and passion that I do to serve others, then we are going to be extremely successful in what we do in real estate.”
Today, NextHome True North Realty is combining NextHome’s suite of industry-leading tools and technology with Ernie’s deep knowledge of the community to provide clients with an unparalleled experience.
“I am passionate about what I do, driven, and self-motivated,” Ernie said. “Throughout the years, I have been the person who will be there to help at a moment’s notice. Our clients will learn that when they do business with NextHome True North Realty, they will get exceptional service.”
Outside the office, Ernie continues to help the children in his community through various service organizations. Ernie is the current president of the Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council. He is also an active member of Young Life, a non-profit Christian organization that connects mentors with high school students. Ernie is also passionate about homelessness in his community and serves local shelters whenever he can.
Ernie is married to Sharmae, who he calls the love of his life. The couple will celebrate 37 years of marriage in July. Together, they have raised four children and they are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
“Family and faith are everything to me,” Ernie said. “They are my inspiration and why I do what I do.”
Please join us in congratulating Ernie on the opening of NextHome True North Realty in Tulare, California!
