Located in Northern Idaho, NextHome Cornerstone Realty serves clients throughout the Coeur d’ Alene and Sandpoint areas including, Hayden, Post Falls, Rathdrum, Athol, Spirit Lake, and the remainder of Kootenai County.
NextHome Cornerstone Realty is owned by the husband-and-wife team of Matt and Renee’ Mullen. Known locally for their servant hearts, both Matt and Renee’ have been licensed real estate sales professionals since 2010. They are the team leaders of Mullen Realty Group, which has helped a wide variety of residential clients Buy, Sell, and Invest in Real Estate in North Idaho including Vacation Homes, Investment Properties, First Time Home Buyers, and Buyers relocating from out of state. Matt is an NAR Senior Residential Specialist and has a talent for working with seniors on rightsizing and relocations. Renee’ is luxury certified to sell through the exclusive Casan Collection and is also a NAR Certified Residential Specialist.
Throughout their years working with Keller Williams Realty Coeur d’ Alene, Renee’ and Matt have always focused on putting their clients first. Their reputation for exceptional client care built a thriving referral-based business.

Despite achieving sales success, Matt and Renee’ are most proud of their reputations for hard work and integrity. The couple’s local reputation for industry excellence accelerated and they knew in the Fall of 2021 it was time to get serious about exploring the idea of starting their own brokerage to build the foundation of their legacy.
As a new broker/owner, Renee’ is continuing her family’s legacy of real estate business ownership into its third generation.
“I grew up in this business,” Renee’ said. “My grandmother started in real estate, opening her own brokerage in Northern California. My dad followed her lead, and now I am opening NextHome Cornerstone Realty.”
As a NextHome brokerage, Matt and Renee’ hope to build on their client-centered real estate approach.
“NextHome had me at ‘Humans Over Houses’,” Matt said. “Renee’ and I are passionate about serving people and always putting their needs and wants first and that’s what we have discovered NextHome is all about.”
As NextHome Cornerstone Realty grows, Matt and Renee’ hope to partner with associates who care about each other, their families, and their community.

Renee’ and Matt have been married for 27 years and are the parents of three adult sons, one daughter-in-“love,” and two Grandsons.
The couple have operated as a true team throughout their marriage and enjoy boating on Lake Coeur d’ Alene, fishing, skiing, and golfing.
