Conveniently located in the Twin Cities metro area, NextHome Homestead Advantage serves clients throughout Coon Rapids, Blaine, Anoka, Andover, Elk River, and Ramsey.
NextHome Homestead Advantage is owned by Charlie Williams. As she leads NextHome Homestead Advantage into the future, Charlie combines broad industry knowledge with a heart for helping others.
“Nothing makes me happier than helping people, and there are few things more generationally impactful than achieving homeownership,” Charlie said. “There is nothing I believe in more than someone reaching homeownership.”
Charlie spent several years as a mental health professional before obtaining her real estate sales license in 2006. As market conditions in 2007 pushed people out of their homes, Charlie was there to help both agents and homeowners skillfully navigate short sales. Her company, Bridger & Associates, offered compassionate and knowledgeable guidance throughout the lengthy and stressful short sale process.
“As I look back on that time, I had a great system down and I am proud to say that I am one of the few short sale negotiators who not only got all clients a release of mortgage, but also got a satisfaction of mortgage. This meant that nobody had to worry about liens and they could start fresh,” Charlie said. “Finding those really impactful details for clients was so rewarding. Helping people achieve long-term success was very professionally fulfilling.”
Bridger & Associates would handle between 200 and 300 short sales at any given time.
As the housing market stabilized, Charlie transitioned her skills to a local RE/MAX office where she continued to help diverse clients discover that their dream of homeownership was within reach.
Charlie became a broker in 2015, and in 2018 she also became a licensed contractor.
As Charlie continued to find ways to help people achieve homeownership, she opened her own brokerage: Set Rate Realty.
“It was a great full-service business, but I struggled with marketing,” Charlie said. “If I was going to build my business, I needed to find a franchise with great systems, support, and marketing.”
That’s when she discovered NextHome.
“I was so impressed with NextHome from the very start,” Charlie said. “The price point was a breath of fresh air, and this franchise had all the support that I craved.”
Today, NextHome Homestead Advantage combines Charlie’s skills with negotiation, mortgages, construction, and human psychology to offer unparalleled client support.
“I love using my knowledge to help clients make a great long-term investment,” Charlie said. “Few things make me happier than sitting at the closing table, winking at my client knowing they have immediate equity once they sign those papers.”
As she continues to build her business, Charlie hopes that she can continue to help people realize that their home buying dreams are possible.
“There are so many people out there who think home buying is beyond their reach,” Charlie said. “I have spent almost two decades in this business, and I know that for many people, their dreams might be closer than they think. All they need to do is reach out, and I would be honored to help.”
A life-long learner, Charlie is currently wrapping up her dissertation and will soon hold a Ph.D in Business Organizational Leadership and Design.
