Under the leadership of broker/owner Denise Kopasz, NextHome Saltwinds Realty offers a wealth of experience in the Cape’s unique real estate needs including vacation homes, waterfront, luxury, investment, retirement, and all other types of residential real estate.
Denise’s career began as a New York real estate appraiser before she embarked on a real estate sales career in 1991.
“I did phenomenal that first year, and I’ve never looked back,” Denise said.
Prior to moving to Cape Cod, Denise was a licensed real estate broker in both New York and Connecticut where she excelled though her unique ability to connect with clients. Throughout her remarkable career, Denise has worked with celebrities and high-profile clients. Wherever she’s gone, Denise has risen to the top tiers of her profession, winning numerous production awards.
However, her devotion to her community is what makes Denise stand apart. She has served on numerous community boards including the local planning board, and she has served as the Chair of the local Board of Assessors.
“My grandson jokingly calls me ‘the boss of Cape Cod’—which always makes me laugh,” Denise said. “But what really matters to me is the strong connections I’ve built in my community.”
Denise has been devoted to her Cape Cod community. She specializes in selling unique properties within the Cape Cod National Seashore, where she also lives – just steps away from the iconic Nauset Lighthouse.
Although she has won numerous production awards, Denise’s proudest accomplishment is her reputation as one of Cape Cod’s most trusted and respected agents. She’s passionate about helping people find their perfect home, and her clients quickly become lifelong friends.
Denise decided it was time to consider the next steps for her own career. That research led her to NextHome.

As she grows her business, Denise remains grounded through her Cape Cod community involvement. She was instrumental in the creation of the local Veterans Memorial. Denise is also an integral part of the Eastham Windmill Weekend – an annual community event celebrating the Cape Cod community with parades, music, races, raffles, vendors, and more.
Denise’s pride and joy is the Nauset Beach Lighthouse and keepers house, a restored lighthouse that has become a national symbol of Cape Cod. Denise proudly serves on the Nauset Light Preservation Society Board where she is committed to preserving and protecting the area’s history for future generations.
Together, with her husband Andy, Denise enjoys spending time with their blended family of six children and five grandchildren. She loves living on the Cape and the wonderful people that have chosen to call it home.
