Pleasanton, CA — December 31th, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Summit Group, based in Parker, Colorado. The brokerage represents the 12th office location opened in Colorado for the NextHome franchise.
NextHome Summit Group is owned by Darla Greenwaldt and will serve clients across Denver, Castle Rock, Elizabeth, Parker, Lone Tree, Highland Ranch, and the remainder of the Denver metro south area. The NextHome Summit Group team lends their years of expertise to all types of both commercial and residential transactions.
Darla has been a real estate professional since 1999. She moved to the area to attend the University of Colorado’s MBA program. While obtaining her master’s degree, she started working in administration for a local boutique downtown brokerage firm.
“It was a small office and I had the opportunity to learn a little about everything,” Darla said of her time as an office manager.
She delved deeper into the profession in 2002, obtaining her real estate license and becoming an investment analyst for a large commercial brokerage in 2004.
Over the years, she worked as an escrow closer, and then property manager for a portfolio of large properties, and eventually becoming the director of closing for a large real estate investment trust. Darla has also worked with nationally franchised brokerages and large luxury realty companies.
In 2006, Darla started her own real estate company – Live Green Real Estate. The name was both a play on her surname as well as a nod to her certification as an eco broker. The company focused its expertise on helping all types of residential real estate clients.
Despite remaining a small operation, Darla’s company and her success steadily grew through the years.
In 2018, Darla decided that it was time to scale her business up. She began hiring and growing, but the success was hard to manage on her own. Darla felt it was time to research franchise options.
“That’s when a friend in Florida suggested NextHome,” Darla said.
Amy Smith of NextHome Bay Area Experts in Tampa, Florida had discovered her own success with the franchise and wholeheartedly suggested NextHome to Darla.
“It had everything that I was missing in my own company and all the things I would like to build out,” Darla said of NextHome’s tools. “The signage caught my eye and I really like the branding. Everything about it is clean, crisp, and modern. The back-office support is crucial to hiring agents and focusing more time on clients. That’s really what brought me in.”
Today, Darla is using her own experience to help home buyers and sellers across the Denver metro area.
“For my buyers and sellers, I really listen to what they want out of their situation,” Darla said. “Everyone’s situation is different and there isn’t one cookie-cutter way to buy or sell a house. So I think it’s about taking all of my vast experience and applying that to my clients’ situation with creativity and integrity. Whether they are looking to move up, or just for a small assessment, I listen to what they need. I am a real estate concierge and advisor in that sense.”
The agents at NextHome Summit Group can also expect great things from Darla.
“My agents have a broker who cares about them and their clients, but also has the knowledge to offer solutions when something comes up in their deals, which happens more often than not,” Darla said. “I’m also here to help them grow their own business. A lot of agents are struggling mid-level, and I want to make them accountable in a way that supports the whole agent helping them reach the next level in their success.”
When she isn’t selling real estate or helping her agents succeed, Darla is active in the Parker community. She volunteers with the Douglas County Canine Rescue as a foster family.
Darla also volunteers with the Denver chapter of Savvy Giving By Design. The non-profit helps create rooms to heal for children with life-threatening illnesses can heal. Darla is one of the board members, serving as treasurer.
Darla is married and the proud mother of two children – Ashlyn (12) and Rhys (9). The family enjoys traveling together and enjoying Colorado’s stunning outdoors.
