Born in Jersey City with family ties to Union City, North Bergen, and Ridgefield Park, Amelia J. Capaz is a homegrown "Jersey Girl," through and through. In her late teens, she moved to Brooklyn for college, and ended up securing a career as a Digital Producer in the television industry. Having spent a decade in New York working for notable companies such as VICE, Jax Media, and Paramount, Capaz developed the ability to navigate a variety of professional spaces, using her warm, social approach to further her connections.

In late 2022, Capaz, along with her husband Jordan, began their search for a home, sparking a love for architecture and interior design, and a new found appreciation for the many New Jersey neighborhoods she frequented growing up. These fixations marked the start of her New Jersey homecoming, and ultimately, her journey into the real estate industry. With her experience in production, copywriting, and strategy, as well as celebrity and talent outreach, Capaz believes the people skills and trend-oriented mindset she developed while working in media will take her far in the world of real estate.

As a person with many niche and eclectic interests, Capaz finds beauty in the mundane, and even in what some might consider the "ugly." She has a love for ornate, well-preserved, original details in homes, as well as in unorthodox modern design, and is constantly using her imagination to picture what a space "could be" at its full potential. 

In addition to her real estate career, Capaz also works as a Senior Content Strategist for big name digital clients, keeping her attention to detail and media savvy skills sharp. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two Frenchies Chuchi & Yuca, antiquing, playing video games, and keeping up with her practice of being a lifelong Pokémon franchise fanatic.
