We found our home the day after Christmas with the help and support of our amazing realtor, Emma Brennan. We had pretty typical wants and needs and nothing up to that point had fulfilled any of them. Not to mention the prices were just atrocious. We stumbled upon a home with a double lot, two garages and tons of space for our future gardens. It was actually listed below our price parameter with minimal photos but the property was interesting and I immediately told Emma I was curious and wanted a look. We approached this viewing in Solvay without much optimism; but we were soon so smitten with the home we couldn’t help but really start to daydream of the potentials. Our initial reaction was that we liked the house, but suddenly we LOVED the house and Emma just KNEW. It reminded us both of homes and places we’ve lived and loved prior and we want to keep that nostalgia alive. Buying a house always seemed impossible, so many curve balls. I had no idea where to start. I bought a house a few years ago and dreaded trying to do it again. Emma is incredible. I had a horrible experience with my previous agent while selling my house. Because of this horrible experience, I wanted to find a new agent for the purchase of my new home. I was connected with Emma, and straight off the bat she was focused, determined, and energetic. I know the saying, “ I never could’ve done this without you“ is cliché, but I seriously would not have found my dream house without her. She mentioned a house for me to look at, and I told her that I’ve seen the house online, and loved the house, but couldn’t afford it. She responded with, “Lets go look at it and see what we can do.” We went to look at the house and it was amazing. It had 99% of everything I wanted, but was too expensive. I put in an offer less than asking and crossed my fingers. With Emma’s knowledge in real estate, knowing how the market works, and her never ending energy to get what I wanted, I ended up buying the house for over $100,000 less (yes, LESS) than originally listed even at the height of the insane, red hot 2021 seller’s market! I’m not saying this will happen with every sale, but clearly Emma is on top of her game. The sellers agent gave me a difficult time throughout the buying process, but Emma wasn’t intimidated. She got the answers I needed almost immediately. If you want someone on your side when buying a house, it’s Emma. At one point in the process, the sellers needed me to send them a very important document. I was going to drive it out to them, but Emma said she was willing to drive an HOUR out of her way to deliver it to the sellers. When I realized just how dedicated she was as an agent, willing to drive an hour for me, I told her it wasn’t necessary and found an alternative method to deliver the document. Think about that. What agent is willing to drive an HOUR for you? Emma, that’s who. The seller’s agent was shocked that she was willing to go to such lengths for me. Any agent can sell a house and get a paycheck. But if you want to be more than just a paycheck, if you want to have someone on your side who is there for you from start to end, it’s Emma.
